lez be honest.

a few thoughts..
i have been blogging on lezbhonest since january 30th, 2010.
at the time, when i began this blog, i had difficulty finding a lot of non-pornographic images of lesbians and lesbian relationships. i was reblogging and sourcing the same pictures time and time again. i had to scour obscure websites to find my material.
and now, two years later, that is a problem i rarely have. never do i question my ability to find a cute pictures of two girls in love, because they’re (almost) everywhere. they’re displayed proudly. YOU are standing up and being real and open.
and you cannot understand the immense joy that brings me.
i started this blog as a way to depict lesbians in the light i wished people could see — real human beings, happy, in love, sweet, tender, void of outdated stereotypes. two years later (and what is two years?), that dream is a reality. sure, we still have a long way to go until we reach the ready acceptance we deserve — but we are a hell of a lot closer.
so keep posting pictures of you and your love. in a way, you’re changing the world.
