facebook question: does it bother you, as someone who is lgbtq, to see straight people in facebook “civil unions” or “marriages” with friends of the same-sex?

  1. arnoldtheoctopus answered: Not at all
  2. gostosahahamentira answered: No, those people are bunch of FOREVER ALONE

  4. 1970something answered: no
  5. ithinkimbreakingout answered: I’m a lesbian and I’m in a ‘marriage’ with my best friend. It doesn’t bother me at all. Obviously.
  6. valentinaslifesays answered: yes absolutely
  7. symmetricallme answered: Yes. It does bother me, especially when they comment on the relationship status change with jokes. It’s ignorant and disrespectful.
  8. rrrippinrrrose answered: sometimes i get excited and think someone else came out of the closet.. then disappointment. But some people like to be ambiguous like that
  9. whattaschmuck answered: nope. people who are straight do the same thing with opposite sex friends too
  10. callmeranky answered: Couldn’t care less
  11. thegirlwiththebows reblogged this from lezbhonest and added:
Sometimes. Because one day when I legitly get married to a girl, it might not be taken seriously.
  12. waveitaway answered: sometimes yeah just because it’s a joke to them.
  13. suceder answered: a lil bit, enough for an eye-roll, but not really.
  14. annabelalesana answered: I’m not lgbtq, but I have a ton of friends who are. Those who are straight do it as like an insider to how close they are in their friendship
  15. daisyybug said: Yes
  16. wellhellothere2 answered: No. It usually confuses me for a second, but I appreciate having that option on facebook.
  17. aldalilja answered: nope
  18. crooked-line answered: not particularly. i’ve jokingly married a guy on facebook. it’s all in good fun, as long as they don’t say anything offensive about lgbtq ppl
  19. shotofprozium answered: no, not really.
  20. whenthemooncomesout answered: Yeah but not because of I’m lgbtq, because I think it’s stupid middle schooler shit
  21. hardcoreyoloswag answered: usually. in general I find it immature. Also, it bothers me when to straight grils say they’re in a relationship with each other
  22. prettyparisianskies answered: No, not at all.
  23. milleniumcartographer answered: no not at all, but i’ve never had any friends who do it mockingly anyway
  24. esotericdreamscape said: yes, even though i know it’s just basically saying they’re really close friends
  25. witchesbritchesandbitches answered: yes
  26. beekiss answered: it kind of does, honestly.
  27. artismypuppet answered: Its how I was able to make a relationship status about my ex. Doesnt bother me as long as theyre friends are respectful and they dont mock it
  28. thegirldrivesmenuts answered: nope. family is family and there are different types of love
  29. electricfreckle answered: a little bit :/
  30. amongtheroses answered: Nope. It was my loophole for being with my 1st girlfriend. Everyone thought it was a joke. I wasn’t ready to come out at the time.
  31. falenir answered: my boyfriend was in a civil union with his then current girflfriend but i think that was because she didnt identify as female.
  32. kateion said: It would only bother me if it came from someone who was against/uncomfortable with homosexuality in real life. Otherwise, it’s totally cool.
  33. 09021994 answered: A little
  34. likevinescrew answered: not even one bit
  35. thestreetshavesouls answered: It’s just a facebook relationship status, why would I let it bug me? People will do what they want you know?
  36. vickythevampydemon answered: Yup. seems like a joke to them, something to joke about or play with :( always bothered me tbh, thanks for raising the question :)
  37. dontbeafraidyouralreadydead answered: not really, people say they are widowed when they aren’t - facebook isn’t really taken seriously by many people so I ain’t bothered :)
  38. markatelisul answered: Not usually, but there are certainly people who take it too far like it’s all one big joke. That’s when I want to hit people.
  39. insanityrunsinthefamily answered: Nope, unless it has gone up along with a stupid comment that is anti-gay or immature
  40. cosmonautprincess answered: I personally do not find it offensive in any way, I just see it as immature, adolescent, something two high school girls would do, you know?
  41. imwallpaper answered: No way. I’ve had fake facebook marriages before. Gender doesn’t even come into the equation; it’s just a fun thing people do.
  42. lezcapades answered: Civil Parnership’s annoy me more because they’re doing it because they think it’s humorous. Marriages less so, but it’s still annoying.
  43. ruthsnewgroove said: Kind of, yeah! Only because I know some of these people are the biggest homophobes ever and they treat it like a joke. I feel like it shouldn’t bug me, but it does.
  44. ebony-johnson2012 answered: Not really,It gives me a feeling that they might fall for one of us someday, hopefully.Watch Jenna Marbles-Girl Crushes (youtube),It explains.
